Words snake in any direction — diagonal, turning corners, weaving through existing tiles. Every board is different. Here's how to play.

The Basics

• Each player has a rack of 7 tiles
• On your turn, place 2 or more tiles to form a word
• Your word can snake in any direction — each tile must be adjacent (including diagonally) to the previous one
• Your first word must touch the 🐍 snake in the center
• After the first word, every new word must connect to tiles already on the board
• You can route your word through existing tiles on the board — they count as letters in your word
• Draw new tiles to refill to 7 after each turn

Scoring Your Word

Each tile has a point value (shown in the corner). Your word scores the sum of all tile values, modified by bonus squares your new tiles land on:

2×L Double one letter's value
3×L Triple one letter's value
2×W Double the whole word score
3×W Triple the whole word score
+1 Each plain trail square gives +1

Bonuses only apply the first time a square is used. Two 3×W squares are never adjacent to each other.

Side Words

When your new tiles land next to existing tiles and form additional words in a straight line, those side words score automatically at face value (no bonuses). For example, if you add B above existing ROOK, you score BROOK as a side word. Side words must contain at least one new tile and at least one existing tile.

⚡ Slither Bonus

Play all 7 tiles from your rack in a single turn and earn a +50 bonus. This is called a Slither.

Word Direction

Words are valid whether read forward or backward along the path you traced. So if you snake out E-S-O-R, that scores as ROSE.
